Colder than coldness

When I came to Toronto, the first challenge for me is the weather.

According to the data provided, February of 2015 was Toronto’s coldest month in recorded history.  The lowest of the lows in February dropped to -25.5 C, with a wind chill that neared -40C. Twenty-three days were labelled extremely cold by Toronto’s Public Health department.

One can grow old and grey waiting for the TTC to arrive

I found buses in Toronto were always punctual in rush hours. “Have you ever experienced waiting for a bus for 15 minutes in the cold wind which was below -20C?” Yes, I have.  Frequent subway delays are a reminder of why TTC is no longer the Better Way for us.  In the sudden rush to expand the TTC, we’ve overlooked one small thing — the transit system we already have barely functions.

Subway delays are a daily occurrence now, and one can grow old and grey waiting for the streetcar or bus to arrive.

People in Toronto don’t Peel An Apple

I always peel an apple before I eat it. Yesterday I even found that a white women in subway ate an apple with a label on it!  However, I come to realize that it is better to eat an apple without peeling it now for the reasons below: First, the skin also packs most of the vitamins. Secondly, the skin may also keep cancer at bay.

Maybe Toronto is the most multicultural city in the world.

I think Toronto is not a tourism city, but it is like one of that kind because there are so much people from all over the world.  The statistical data tells us that nearly half of the Toronto region’s 5.6 million residents were born in another country.
